Berton Quon, BSc (Kin)

RMT (NHPC)

Graduate of the Massage Therapy program at MacEwan University, in addition to holding a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta, Berton also received education from Camosun College in Victoria, BC, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Berton’s approach to treatment is very analytical and patient. He enjoys taking his time to palpate, analyze, and understand the state and condition of the tissues that require treatment. He believes in finding a solution that is effective but also realistic for the patient’s lifestyle and habits.

Although sometimes necessary, he believes that an effective treatment does not need to be uncomfortable – sometimes the best results may come from tissue staying relaxed and calm during treatment. It brings Berton joy to see patients leave the treatment room with improved physical functioning, or simply, a decrease in stress. Berton is currently trained in Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, hydrotherapy, myofascial release, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, sports massage and joint mobilization.
